Fiat 500 Hatchback Review
The Fiat 500 is a successful combination of a modern, practical urban runabout with charming retro styling. It provides decent handling, useful accommodation and sound performance with a degree of charm that few rivals can match. It was a clear winner of the 2008 European Car of the Year title. Pricing is keen, too. One format is available: three-door with four seats. Unlike the original 500, this car has a front engine, driving the front wheels.

Three equipment grades £ Pop, Lounge and Sport. Pop trim includes remote central locking, seven airbags, electric front windows and door mirrors, height-adjustable driver's seat, seatback pockets, MP3-compatible six-speaker audio system, front under seat storage (passenger side), Dualdrive electric power steering, folding rear seat, follow-me-home headlights and a trip computer. Lounge versions add leather steering wheel trim, Blue&Me USB and Bluetooth connectivity, air conditioning, 15-inch alloy wheels, body-coloured door mirrors, chrome exterior trim, fixed glass roof, split-folding rear seat with head restraints. Sport versions are priced the same as Lounge, building on the Pop specification with sports leather-trimmed steering wheel, air conditioning, sports interior trim, 15-inch sports alloy wheels, Blue&Me USB and Bluetooth connectivity, body-coloured door mirrors, dark tinted rear windows, spoiler and front fog lights. A wide range of accessories, styling features and bodywork colours and decorations are available, giving owners plenty of scope to personalise their vehicle.
