Ford Fiesta Hatchback
Review
The Fiesta has long been a breadwinner for Ford in Europe where sales have been extremely strong. The current model, introduced in 2003 and offered in three and five-door body styles, answered criticisms of lack of rear leg room while bringing a fresh, new face and square-edged lines to what had previously been a rounded but dated body shape. A short bonnet leaves plenty of room in the cabin, where the design is as contemporary as that of the exterior. But while the car has visually been transformed, Ford has wisely retained the previous car's superb chassis dynamics, so the Fiesta remains one of the best handing and riding of all superminis.

Equipment
Ford brings the Fiesta range under £9,000 with its entry-level Studio grade, offered with the 1.25 petrol and 1.4 diesel engines. The Style trim level offers a better equipment list with electric front windows, sound system with CD player, driver's seat height adjustment and a leather trimmed steering wheel. Zetec grade adds body-coloured bumpers, front fog lights and 15-inch alloy wheels, while Zetec S comes with a rear spoiler, air conditioning and sprots front seats. Ghia adds more luxury with remote controls for the sound system and heated electric door mirrors. The ST specfication reflects its performance focus in trim and cabin detailing, plus part-leather upholstery.
