Jaguar delivered a true state of the art machine when it redrew its flagship XJ series for the 21st century. Boasting an aluminium body and bristling with electronic control systems, the car gives Jaguar an excellent contender in the tough global luxury car market.One of the key improvements over the previous model is an increase in dimensions. This gives the XJ extra space in the cabin and in the boot to match its main market competitors.

The entry-level XJ6 is equipped with dual-zone climate control, leather upholstery, cruise control, rear parking distance control and electrically adjustable foot pedals. The grade structure advances to Sport and SE versions, giving owners the choice of extra performance or luxury features. The Sport introduces up-rated suspension, heated front seats, 18-inch alloy wheels and bi-xenon auto-headlights. The SE provides 16-way adjustable front seats with memory settings, wood and leather steering wheel, fold-back door mirrors with ground lights and auto-dimming function and 12-speaker prestige sound system. Wheels increase to 19-inch diameter for the XJR, which also comes with ventilated Brembo disc brakes and £R£ sports detailing in the cabin. The ultimate XJ is the Super V8, which offers front and rear parking distance control, adaptive cruise control, touch-screen satellite navigation and voice control for audio, ventilation and navigation functions.
