Mazda 3 Hatchback Review
Following the success of the D segment Mazda6 and the Mazda2 supermini, Mazda pitched into the most vital market of all, the C segment for compact hatchbacks and saloons.The Mazda3 ostensibly replaces the long-lived 323, but is a comprehensively more modern and desirable product altogether, launched as both a five-door hatch and a four-door saloon. The car is constructed on the same platform as the next generation Ford Focus and shares some family mechanical and drivetrain elements.

Mazda 3 Hatchback Equipment
The Mazda3 is offered in four grades: S, TS, TS2 and Sport. The entry-level S grade features as standard Electric front windows, electric heated door mirrors, four-speaker radio-cassette audio system, body-coloured bumpers and side mouldings, height and reach adjustable steering column, split-folding rear seats, The TS version adds 15-inch alloy wheels, lumbar adjustment for the driver's seat, rear centre armrest, CD player, remote audio controls on the steering wheel and air conditioning. Specification for the TS2 introduces larger alloys, leather steering wheel and gearshift trim, six-disc CD player, trip computer and climate control. The Sport version, available exclusively as 2.0-litre hatch or saloon, features 17-inch wheels, front fog lamps, sports styling package, special cloth upholstery, upgraded sound system, automatic front wipers, xenon headlamps with cleaning system and automatic headlight illumination. Key options include DVD-based satellite navigation, electric sunroof and metallic paint.
