Mercedes M Class 4x4
Review
The second incarnation of the American-built 4x4 from Mercedes-Benz brings a long-overdue improvement in interior quality and in the amount of trim as standard equipment. Its also noticeably more road-friendly. A brilliant chassis, less suspension fussiness around town, more power, and a longer wheelbase deliver a smoother ride, yet crisp progress on country roads and on motorway cruises. Off-roading is aided by a plethora of on-board technology, including a downhill speed regulator, a system which can hold the car still when stopped on slopes, an ABS system that works off-road as well as on, and a more intuitive four-wheel-drive system, which MB has christened 4-ETS.
