Vauxhall Meriva MPV
Review
The Meriva is Vauxhall's attempt to do for small cars what the Zafira managed in the family-car sector. It's a Corsa-based, five-door mini-MPV that aims to replicate most of the stowable-seating magic of its bigger brother, although the tighter fit means it's not quite so practical. Prices err on the high side, and equipment levels aren't what they might be, but it's a clever car that rides well and is good to drive.

Equipment
Vauxhall hasn't been lavish with the Meriva's equipment. Trim levels start with the Expression, which is a stripped-out price-point car. Pay another £1,400 for Life, which adds extra cosmetic trim, electric mirrors and front electric windows. Another £1,000 brings Enjoy trim (radio-CD and aircon) or Design (alloy wheels instead of aircon).
