What's hot?
- Shifts are very smooth indeed
- Super-long top gear makes for quiet high-speed cruising…
- …but there’s decent kickdown response when you need it
- Quick off the line too, hitting 0-60mph in 10.6 seconds
- Flicking the lever over into manual mode gives a bit more control
- Economy is pretty impressive at 39.8mpg
- Handling, ride and comfort are all class-leading
What's not?
- Emissions are high at 189g/km against the manual’s 156g/km…
- …and it returns almost 48mpg too
- The transmission can hold onto gears for too long
