“Wait a minute, Doc. Are you telling me that you built a time machine… out of a DeLorean?!”- Marty Mcfly- Back to the Future.

After numerous hours  watching films on Saturday afternoons or at Christmas whilst having some kind of trifle, you may have wondered what it would be like to own a super awesome car.

However fictional some of them may be, you can’t help but imagine what it would be like to cruise around the nearest ring road and have everyone look at you. After a few lunchtime conversations I realised that fantasising about owning a cool car is a popular pastime for both men and women.

We have put together a list of cars which people would like to own, even if you only wanted them when you were young these cars will still get your heart racing.  So from the down-right ridiculous to the more subtle vehicles, here goes. Don’t judge, just accept that these cars are boss and blow your Nissan Navara off the M6, actually scratch that, the map!

“AHH the Mirth Mobile”or known to us mere mortals as a 1976 AMC Pacer.

For the past ten years there have been many milestones reached in the automotive industry such as the production of hybrid vehicles and since 2010 the fully battery powered Nissan Leaf.

LEAF is an acronym for ‘Leading Environmental friendly, Affordable, Family Car’ and it does exactly what it says on the tin.

Today Central Contracts has been lucky enough to have an in-depth presentation on the Nissan LEAF courtesy of Neil Brereton from Nissan.

The LEAF was first released in Japan where it is still produced and also released into the USA market in the same year. The following year the LEAF gained a 5* NCAP rating proving that it will work hard to cocoon you in an eco-bubble should anything happen. Shortly after release the Nissan LEAF won the Green Car Vision Award 2010, European Car of the Year 2011, World Car of the Year and finally the 2011- 2012 Car of the Year Japan. read more…

Boy Racer: ‘Someone who thinks it’s clever to spend £5,000 tarting up a £50 piece of crap that is one MOT away from the junk yard’ – Urban Dictionary

It’s Wednesday night, you’ve eaten your tea, watched ‘Come Dine With Me’ and are more than ready to get into bed. However in the distance you can hear that irritating thudding which can only mean one thing, there’s either a T-Rex in the cul-de-sac or there’s a fleet of boy racers on their way through your area.

You know you shouldn’t encourage them but you can’t help but take a glance out the window, as they get closer, to see what hideous automobile is outside. Maybe you have a son or daughter who is looking for a car and their preferred choice is somewhat questionable, maybe this is because they are a secret girl or boy racer. If you suspect you are helping a boy racer, take a look at the top ten boy racer cars and stop them in their tracks before you are stuck with the drone of their music for the next few years and can’t even take advantage of a free lift to the local pub. read more…
