The Top Ten Top Gear Moments…In The World

More than just a car programme and one of the United Kingdom’s most cherished exports, Top Gear has been running for over ten years.

With hundreds of episodes and hours of programming to watch, we have done our best to bring you the top ten moments in Top Gear history:

10) Jeremy drives the world’s smallest car

The Peel P50 is a production car so small that you can literally drive it into work and that is exactly what happens is this hilarious clip!

9) Corvette ZR1 vs Audi R8

Pitting American muscle against European finesse, this episode compared two of the very best new supercars on the market against each other. Which one came out on top? Watch this clip to find out.

8) Ken Block airfield rallying

Rally and stunt driving legend Ken Block drops in for this episode, pitting his elite off road driving skills against dirt-biking champion Ricky Carmichael in a specially constructed airfield. There can only be one winner!

7) Challenge to find Driving Heaven

Taking place across Europe in many different breathtaking settings, the boys set off in search of driving nirvana. Watching this clip may provoke extreme road envy.

6) Four Door Supercars

Looking for a supercar that is still practical enough to take the kids to school? Look no further than this clip, where three of the best are pit against each other in a variety of challenges.

5) Crossing the Channel

Usually, Top Gear episodes stick to the road or the track, but not this time. The boys attempt to cross the English Channel in cars which have been converted into boats. Enough said.

4) The Marauder

Not quite a car but still extremely entertaining, the Marauder is the South African Police Force’s new support vehicle.  Watch it being put through its paces on the Top Gear Test Track.

3) James May’s Bugatti Veyron Top Speed Test

See the world’s fastest production car pushed to its limits. Does it live up to the claims Bugatti has made about its performance?

2) Bugatti Veyron vs McLaren F1

An old school legend finally meets the new breed on an empty stretch of road in the Abu Dhabi desert. Which one will come out on top?

1) Killing the Toyota Hilux

The scene which officially marked Top Gear’s change from serious car programme to the massively entertaining show that it is today. The Toyota Hilux is billed as one of the toughest cars in the world, but is it tough enough to stand up to everything the Top Gear team can throw at it?
